Bird in a Cage

What You'd Need:

Child safety scissors

Clear plastic drinking straw

Pipe cleaners (2)

Marker

Yellow construction paper

Tape

Plastic berry baskets (2)


What You Do:

1. Cut off a third of the straw. To make a perch, pass one pipe cleaner stem through the short straw section. Cut the second pipe cleaner into four 2" (5 cm) pieces.
   
   
2. Draw a bird on the yellow paper. Cut it out and tape it to the perch.
   
   
3. Turn the berry basket upside down. Hang the perch from the centre of the basket. Place the basket with the perch on top of the second basket. Twist pieces of pipe cleaners through to hold the baskets together.
