Cuckoo Bird Mask

What You'd Need:

Child safety scissors

Paper cups, 2

Brown construction paper

Tape

White craft glue

Craft feathers, 2

Markers

Stapler (careful here)

Elastic band


What You Do:

1. Cut the top off the paper cups, leaving a 1" (2.5 cm) section around the bottom. Cut out a hole in the centre of each cup for the bird's eyes.
   
   
2. Cut a 5 by 5" (12.5 by 12.5cm) construction paper square. Cut a fan shape across one corner of the square; fold into a cone and tape to hold.
   
   
3. Tape the bird's eyes together; tape the cone below the eyes. Glue feathers on top and decorate eyes with markers if desired.
   
   
4. Ask a grown up to staple or tie an elastic to the outside edge of each cup. Adjust so the elastic fits. Now, act like a cuckoo clock!
