Flying Paper Bird

What You Need:

Child safety scissors

White paper plate, small

Yarn

Tape

Scrap brown paper

Markers


What You Do:
  1. Fold the paper plate in half; then, open it flat. Make wings by cutting along the inside circle on both sides of the plate, stopping before the fold line as shown.

  2. Ask a grown up to poke a small hole in the centre of the fold Tie a knot in the bottom of the yarn; then thread the yarn up through the hole.

  3. Fold the plate in half; tape it to hold. Cut a triangle beak from the scrap paper. Tape it in place.

  4. Bend the wings outward. Colour the bird with markers; then hang it up to fly!
